A 38-year-old man has been charged with uttering threats after a casino south of Saskatoon was evacuated Saturday night following reports that there was a bomb in the building.

Police said they received a 911 call from someone who reported a bomb threat at the Dakota Dunes Casino.

The building was emptied out by police at about 8:20 p.m. CST. The casino is at Whitecap First Nation, approximately 30 kilometres south of Saskatoon.

The casino was re-opened and people were let back inside at about 10:50 p.m. CST.

RCMP said nothing threatening was found inside the building.

Police later located a male suspect in a Saskatoon hotel. He was arrested without incident and is charged with uttering threats, mischief and public mischief.

He appeared in court Sunday morning and is scheduled to be back in court in May.

In Prince Albert, individuals visited the Real Canadian Superstore on Sept. 10 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and Sept. 21 from 4 to 5 p.m.; Science Fiction Pizza on Sept. 14 from 5:15 to 5:30 p.m.; and Shoppers Drug Mart Cornerstone on Sept. 15 from 8 to 8:30 p.m., Sept. 15 from 4:15 to 4:45 p.m., and Sept. 23 from 4:15 to 4:45 p.m.

Public Health officials are advising individuals who were at these locations on the specified dates during the specified times to self-monitor for 14 days, and if they have had or develop symptoms of COVID-19, immediately self-isolate and call HealthLine 811 to arrange for testing. The SHA notes that individuals may develop symptoms from two to 14 days following exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19.
